Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Caner is a neurosurgeon specializing in brain, spinal cord, and pituitary tumor surgery, cerebral aneurysms, and degenerative spine conditions such as lumbar and cervical disc herniation and spinal canal stenosis. She earned her medical degree and completed her neurosurgery residency at Uludag University Faculty of Medicine, later serving as Chief of the Neurosurgery Clinic at Goztepe Training and Research Hospital. She has received prestigious international honors, including the WFNS Prof. Ming Kao Chen Best Research Award, and is fluent in German, English, and Latin.
