Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gürkan Mert is a specialist in infectious diseases and clinical microbiology who completed his specialization training at Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA). With over two decades of professional experience between 1996 and 2020 covering specialist practice, chief residency, and academic duties, he has published peer-reviewed research on brucellosis, tuberculosis, and antibiotic stewardship. He is a member of ECCMID, ISID, and the Klimik Society, and currently practices at Medical Park hospitals.
