Prof. Dr. Mecit Süerdem is a distinguished Turkish professor of chest diseases who earned his medical degree from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine and was awarded his professorship by Selçuk University in 1995. He has held numerous leadership positions, including Head of the Chest Diseases Department at Atatürk University and President of the Turkish Respiratory Research Society for nine years. He currently practices as a chest diseases specialist at Maltepe VM Medical Park Hospital, with extensive expertise in COPD, asthma, bronchoscopy, and lung cancer.
